REUSE
REPAIR
REIMAGINE
To create value from waste.
To mend what’s worn.
To let the fabric live on.
The Fabric Folk is a social enterprise focused on textile reuse.
We give fabric a second chance.
From mending to making, we help Hertfordshire and London communities reuse, repair, and reimagine textiles that would otherwise go to waste.
We work with fashion, film and interior design industry to reduce their textile waste.
We sell affordable materials to local makers, teach local communities to reuse textiles and design waste out via upcycling commissions.
We’re not in this for profit. We’re a Community Interest Company, which means any money we make gets reinvested into our mission:
To create a future where
nothing gets wasted.

The face behind The Fabric Folk
I’m Marina, founder of The Fabric Folk — a creative textile reuse organisation rooted in design, sustainability, and practical skill-sharing.
I started The Fabric Folk after seeing just how much perfectly usable fabric is discarded locally and globally, and recognising the need for more thoughtful, accessible ways to work with what already exists.
With a background in industrial design and hands-on craft practice, I create and deliver workshops, projects, and partnerships that combine sewing, mending, and embroidery with circular thinking.
My work supports individuals, communities, and organisations to build confidence with reusing, repairing and upcycling textiles — all with the aim of keeping fabric in circulation for as long as possible.
