A meditative, five-hour stitching retreat in Hertford Heath.
Learn the mindful Japanese art of Sashiko while crafting your own hand-embroidered jacket.
You’ll explore the history of Sashiko within Japanese culture, and its role in today’s movement towards circular fashion.
Only 4 guests per session. This experience is guided by Marina of The Fabric Folk CIC — a not-for-profit dedicated to nurturing mindful, creative textiles communities in Herts.
Your booking directly supports our work to keep textiles in circulation, and helps us open a local circular textile reuse hub to prevent valuable resources from going to landfill.

No preparation or sewing experience needed — all materials are provided:
• 1 Linen jacket (or select another garment from our curated collection)
• 1 Sashiko needle
• Premium Sashiko thread
• 3 patterned Sashiko fabric swatches
• Tea + refreshments
